National Paralympic Sport Conference

The College was represented by Caroline Day and Christopher Badger at a National Paralympic Sports Conference at the Royal National College for the Blind, Hereford in February. The conference was hosted by BBC sport presenter Amanda Davies and included a number of debates and exhibitions surronding Paralympic Sports. There were a variety of Paralympic athletes giving keynote speeches and members of the England Blind Football team and goal ball teams gave hands on workshops of their sport.
Ex-England defender and radio 5 summariser Danny Mills has recently become an ambassador for disability sport and was also heavily involved in the day. The students gained great experience and knowledge from the day and are now in
position to act as ambassadors for students at the college for 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.
